Ultrawideband Precision RCS Regulation for Trihedral Corner Reflectors by Loading Resistive Film Absorbers

In this paper, an absorber with a resistive film is proposed, which holds stable polarization absorption characteristics at large angles by exploring the principle of structure. The contains three layers: top layer metal patch film, and middle covered patch. thickness structure only 0.5 mm, can be perfectly attached to trihedral corner reflector (TCR) without affecting reflector. By laying on TCR, TCR stabilized 8–40 GHz in range incident angle ±20°, radar cross-section (RCS) reduction value fluctuates around 1 dBsm. Thus, RCS values frequency points 10 GHz, 15 35 are consistent achieve accurate regulation RCS. stability different frequencies achieved, essential for precise complex scatterer structures. effectiveness method was verified experiments using metamaterial absorbing unit film.
